Consultant”. Please find details below.
Job Title: Fixed Access Network Consultant/Engineer
Responsibilities:
•Responsible for requirements analysis and detailed design of various technical
aspects for STC FTTx Access and transport network on a project basis.
•Accountable for bringing together different design aspects and applying them in a
relevant manner to a customer product or service.
•Provide peer reviews for both Network and Solution Designs.
•Leadership, high management skills and effective communications with projects’
stakeholders
•Do the following activities to ensure successful projects and meet customer
expectation and satisfaction:
•Understand customer requirements at a detailed level in order to translate them into
technical specifications
•Develop creative and innovative architectural designs for a complex module
•Work with project managers and peers to understand and solve challenging technical
problems
•Work with project managers and peers to produce effort estimates
•Assess requirements and make design recommendations
•Produce models (integrated function, process dependency or entity relationship)
that form the foundation for further analysis
•Assess different requirements, process them and form innovative models to arrive at
solutions to address these requirements
Qualifications:
∙BE in Electrical/Telecommunications/Electronics or equivalent from a recognized engineering
university
∙08-10 Year of Relevant experience.
∙Fixed Access services: PPPOE, IPoE, IPTV, VoIP (SIP/H248), QinQ (L2VPN), QoS
∙Fiber Access Technologies: GPON, 10GPON, 25GPON, EPON, 10GEPON, P2P
∙Copper Access Technologies: G.fast, VDSL/VDSL2, Vectoring, Super Vectoring, ADSL family
etc.
∙Cable Access Technologies: DOCSIS, DVB, etc.
∙Basic IP and MPLS skills: OSPF, RIP, IS-IS, BGP, QoS, IPv6, etc.
∙E2E Mobile backhauling solutions.
∙Solution and Platform evaluation, testing, and validation methodologies.
∙Fixed Access platforms types and architecture from top vendors in Fixed Access domain
∙NFV with focus on vOLT and vCPEs functions
